Job Title: GA-Game Day Operations/Event Management

Reports To: Director of Game Day Operations and Event Management

FLSA Classification: Part Time- Non-Exempt

 GENERAL SUMMARY

This position will assist the Assistant Athletic Director-Director of Game Day Operations and Event Management in the oversight of game day management, event planning, scheduling, ticketing, supervision of work study students, and facilities for CMU Athletic Department.    This is a Part-time position, not to exceed 20 hours per week.   

 PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

60% - Assist with Varsity and Varsity Reserve game day management including scheduling facilities

20% -Oversee all aspects of concessions and gates for all home games

10% - Assist in facilities management

10% - Organize/supervise and train work study students

Perform other duties as assigned

 MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partially oversee Work Study Students

Game/Event supervision, including crowd control, liaison with officials

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

This person must apply and be accepted into Central Methodist’s Masters’ Degree Program

Bachelors degree in Sport Management, Physical Education, Education, Business or related field

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to be active for up to 12 hours in a day.

 OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be able to use Microsoft Office/Outlook

Must have customer service skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to operate various electronic equipment (scoreboard, sound systems, PA, etc.) or willingness to learn

Have working knowledge of many different sports

Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional manner

Ability to adapt to changing schedules

Must be available to work nights and weekends

Must be able to perform in a high stress/fast paced environment

Must have or be able to attain a class E Drivers’ License**
